about Grimsby Bound

Grimsby Bound is Gordon Wilson's account, in verse, of the experiences of boy apprentices in the C19th Fishing Trade. In a polyphony of dramatic monologues it tells of their abuse and misuse at sea and ashore, a treatment that brought about four Parliamentary enquiries into the conditions in Grimsby's fishing industry.

Twenty four poems make up the collection which is scheduled for publication by Dreamcatcher Books in early in 2011.
